Outlook.com is a sus-standard service.
Outlook.com is where I have all my official emails sent and I can never open them, or send emails, and when it does open, it crashes every few minutes. Writing a message on a brick and throwing it from your window will have better chances of making its destination than an email via outlook.com!
Pros: Not a single thing
Cons: Fails across the board... when it opens
Rarely opens successfully

Do not use the Skype Upgrade, simply uninstall Messenger..
Outlook.com was initially a little bit bare bones. Later it got better but since I have "upgraded" to the "New" Skype Outlook.com has broken and will not work correctly. Pros: social network connections
Cons: Upgrading Skype has damaged my Outlook.com
